Random assorted thoughts for this week...

Didn't go out for a run since Monday, as I wanted to give my right foot some rest. Meanwhile, lots of people going into their final stages of preparation for the year-end marathon...but I don't seem to be doing much on my end :P Just sitting around, getting fat...

Been trying to coordinate here and there the transportation/accommodation arrangements for the KL Pacesetters 30-km Race in January 2007. Keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be able to get 12 rooms in the hotel of our choice. And looking forward to the exciting train ride to Malaysia and the comfortable coach ride back home =D

Had lunch with some colleagues at Hog's Breath Cafe in Holland Village earlier in the week. The place has a nice ambience, and the servings are larger and more filling than those in some other restaurants. Their curly fries were a pleasure to consume! =D On the way back, popped into Watsons for a quick zip-a-round. Saw hairbands with reindeer antlers on sale...ahhh, it's that time of the year again. :) But of course, Christmas is more than just about Santa and all that commercial shopping. It's about the First Advent, about the birth of someone really special in Bethlehem over some 2,000 years ago.

Watched a heart-stopping hour of Gray's Anatomy the other night. It was the episode in which there was a terrible train wreck, and many casualties flooded the emergency room. Two adult passengers on-board the fateful locomotive were literally skewered through their abdomens by a metal pole. They were wheeled into the hospital, still alive, seated and facing each other, with the two ends of the pole protruding out of their respective backs. The surgeons had to decide which one of them to save...because they could not save both... But who should they save? It was a really traumatic episode to watch...
