Red is a good sign.

A new nurse handled my dressing today. The wound looks redder than before, but she assured me that it was healing okay, and that red was a healthy colour for muscle. *cringe*

After washing the area with gauze soaked with saline solution, the nurse stuffed a fresh piece of gauze, coated with some duodermal gel that is to aid healing, into the hole in my thigh. I took a picture of that too, and I guess that makes a nicer picture (below) than of the raw hole itself (today's image here).
