Matrimonial Bliss: Pong and Grace

1 John 4:7-12
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Was at Paya Lebar Chinese Methodist Church for Pong and Grace's church wedding and buffet dinner. Charissa, Denise and Darryl were manning the reception area. Arriving soon after me were Emrys, Ms Lee (my Chemistry teacher from RJC) and Timothy. We chatted briefly, and then went upstairs to the sanctuary where the solemnization would be held.

Marcus was already upstairs; he was one of the helpers. Among the other people I saw today were Wei San, Wai San, Henry and Sihui, Foost and Louisa, Lewis and Delphine (and their one-year old daughter, Eliora), Wei Hsiung and Bee Him, Feng Ji, Wilfred and Sarah, Zhengliang, Xinyi and Wenpin, Harold, Chelvin, Ivy, Manzhi and Allen. I later also managed to catch up with Grace's side of the family, including Joseph and Sabrina. Joe and Siow Huiling were also supposed to come, but I did not see them there.

The wedding ceremony, which was in English and Hakka, was very well done...the sermon on 1 John 4:7-12 was clearly presented, memorable hymns of worship were sung, and it was great to see these two godly Christian friends of mine joining hands in marriage. May they continue to be humble servants of the Lord and bear much fruit in their lives! :)

But tomorrow, Pong and Grace will depart for the UK. They have bought a house in Cambridge, and will probably be staying there for a few years. If time allows in the future, I hope to be able to go over and pay a visit :)
